Chapter. 1 The Beginning Before Daine was even created Humans ruled. The vampires always had to hide, for the humans feared them. When the humans finally forgot them, Murrio Turan, the human King of Dakna, the land of the vampire's ancestors, made the historians erase all of the writings of the vampires. When Krotai Daine, the Vampire's ruler, called his vampires and told them they must live among the humans, the vampires revolted and killed Krotai. In doing that, they caused a curse to be brought upon them. Their curse actually worked to their advantage, because it meant they must walk among the living until the find the Queen of the Vampires.
